Rob owns and operates a $2.5M portfolio of value-add multifamily properties in Massachusetts, comprising ten units under his direct management. He has spent the past three years investing in real estate both personally and alongside outside investors. Rob works in HVAC and plumbing and brings a background in electrical and construction. That combination of trades gives him a hands-on understanding of building systems that informs every acquisition and renovation the firm underwrites.

Mr. Kaplan brings over 30 years of hands-on experience in commercial real estate, encompassing more than 100 transactions totaling over $10 billion throughout North America. As President of Griffin Capital Company, he had direct responsibility for the Griffin Capital Qualified Opportunity Zone Fund and the Griffin Capital Institutional Property Exchange.
Prior to Griffin, Mr. Kaplan spent 11 years at IRG, LLC, where he was one of three partners responsible for the acquisition, ownership, and management of over 90 million square feet of office and industrial real estate across 23 states. Earlier in his career, he held acquisitions, asset management, and capital raising roles at Morgan Stanley, JMB Realty Corporation, Chemical Bank, and J.P. Morgan.
